Namo Amitabha Buddha! (3 times) I bow to the nine directions of Heaven, the ten directions of Buddhas, and all Buddhas across the universe. I respectfully bow to the Sovereign of Heaven and the Queen of the Earth, and all Supreme Deities. I respectfully bow to the God of the Current Year. I respectfully bow to the Guardian Deities and Great Kings of this land. I respectfully bow to the Five Directions, the Earth Gods, the Dragon Vein Spirits, and the God of Fortune who bestows blessings in this area. The owner is: [Full Name] Residing at: [Address] Today is the ... day of the ... month of the ... year. I have sincerely prepared offerings, incense, flowers, tea, and fruits to offer before the altar, reporting with sincerity: Today, I begin the construction of this house as a residence for my family and descendants. Having chosen an auspicious day, I respectfully report to all Deities, seeking your witness and permission to break ground. I respectfully invite all Deities governing this area to descend before this altar, accept the offerings, and witness my sincerity. I humbly pray for your protection so that the construction proceeds smoothly, all events are auspicious, workers remain safe, and no obstacles are encountered. Ritual Guidelines

The owner should "borrow an age" if their current year is astrologically unfavorable (Kim Lau or Hoang Oc).

Offerings are placed on a small tray in the center of the construction plot.

After praying, the owner or the person with the auspicious age should take the first few shovel strokes.
